If im use 2s run top speed is 100kmh-118kmh..3s top speed is 120kmh-148kmh already... 😂im still want upgrade more bigger motor & esc...

still have my original Super Hornet. The Tamiya Rising Fighter is basically a re-release of the Super Hornet in different name and livery. I got one from Australia that was done up like a Super Hornet.

Neither will be faster then each other but lipo can be quicker as nimh batteries have a smaller output rate so will be less wuick

Get a life, you guys! Dump your NIMH packs and get yourself some LIPO batteries! Don't even think of buying any RC vehicle that can't fit a standard 2-Cell LIPO battery!

My first Tamiya car was a Bear Hawk (horrible car, didn't steer at all but still loved it), then I had a Sauber C12 F1 car and after that I have had a couple of T01 road cars and raced in the Tamiya cup with a couple of TT-01R cars. Also had the Team Associated B4 and B5M which I raced a couple of years (without success by the way). I have only one victory in a 500 lap race using a Tamiya mini FWD chassis in a 4 man team. In my 50s now and still wanting the Wild Ones which I couldn't afford back when I was young. But I have different hobbies now so it will probably never come. Long story short, I would prefer the Tamiya cars any day over the professional ones by Team Associated, Losi and so on. Not because the latter are bad cars but because of memories I guess.

3 years later the hbx 16980sa is a really good one to get imo . All this amd more with a 3s or 2s brushless 45a esc and it’s been pretty durable

Bro use 3s battery test kust can know him really top speed...my 144010 im just do 27-48 gear & use slipper clutch than use 3s battery test top speed is 103-115kmh...now still waiting platinum 2845 4370 kv brushless motor & 80a brushless ESC come than im want to test again...wish bro have a good days...

It all looks very dry inside. It could do with some grease. How lucky are we that Tamiya re-released a lot of the Hot Shot family so spares should be easy to come by.

I live in brazil and have 2 wltoys a959 b, i still prefer the revo, but in brazil the traxxas trucks are just a lot expensive for me.

I bet the grass hopper would give "you" better lap times. Go fast is only good if it's managed. I had a stock lunch box that was number 1 for an insanely long time in our town🤣 it was slow as.... well slow, but completing a lap goes further than chasing your upside down whip. 🤷

I've took mine for a spin today and it's much faster. I would say it's a bit too fast considering the 2 spring suspension and magnet steering. Yours must have weak magnets in the engine...
